Handles and Lugs Masterclass with Kevin Millward

Clay College Stoke is so pleased to be able to offer a Day Masterclass focussing on perfecting Handles and Lugs guided by our course director Kevin Millward.

The class will begin with Kevin’s years of expertise in throwing shapes and adding handles and lugs to suit the specific forms. Participants will be guided on how to create and add handles to pre-prepared cylinders and forms to practice these skills. Participants are welcome to bring their own wares to add to.

Situated in the historic Middleport Pottery, the College offers a creative environment and excellent facilities including a potter’s wheel for each student. We are not able to fire any of the pieces from this masterclass but if you would like to take 3 pieces of your work, please bring a box for safe transporting.

The college will be open at 9.30 am each day to allow for a 10 am start and clear down at the end of each day will begin at 3.30 pm to be out of the building by 4 pm.

There will be plenty of tea and coffee but we do not provide lunch.
